Back in November we booked tickets to what seemed like a pretty cool photography conference, a unique combination of glamping, workshops and talks. It wasn't until we joined the snap facebook group that we realised Snap was so much more. Its an amazing community of supportive, talented photographers. Before we'd even made it to snap we'd already received lots of helpful advice, had a cool christmas party, an impromptu lunch and a fun photo shoot.
So last Monday we drove to Fforest in Wales and spent the week listening to some amazing photographers speak, learning lots of new things about photography and business, and eating a tonne of yummy food. We made some new friends and spent some time wondering around fields, playing with the Fforest dogs and trying to light the fire in our dome (thankfully we figured it out on day 2). There was even a beautiful surprise wedding between two lovely snapters who got engaged at last years snap (we propably set the record for the most wedding photographers to attend a wedding) It was heartwarming that they love the community so much they wanted to share their big day with all of us.
Snap Photography festival flew by and before we knew we were driving to Snowdonia. The whole drive was overwhelmingly beautiful, so obviously we stopped loads to take photos and look at cute little lambs. We chose the lazy girl option, and took the Snowdonia Mountain Railway as close to the summit as we could go.
A week Snap taught us not to be afraid to experiment, strive to create work that we love and most importantly to be ourselves and put that in our work.
