Six months ago, during a random conversation about our mutual dissatisfaction with the lack creative freedom our current jobs allowed us, we decided that not only did we want to work for ourselves, but we wanted to do it together. We both knew there was a lot we could learn from each other and were excited by the possibility of combining our creative minds.
Fast forward to September. After months of phone calls, (a lot of) Facebook messages, googling, learning, and admiring things on Pinterest, we finally found ourselves in the same place, at the same time, desperate to begin creating together. New York City! We arrived by ship and only had one night to spare so we knew we had to make the most of it. Through the power of the internet we found ourselves two couples who were excited to work with us. Times Square is one of the busiest places in New York, but also one of the most iconic, so thats were we took our first couple, Hannah & MJ. Needless to say, it wasn't easy shooting in a crowd of people we had no control over, but two minds are better than one and together we made it work. We decided that after shooting our second couple, Mario & Kyle on the steps of Times square, we would move on to the quieter back streets, to create a different mood.
So there you have it, no stylists, make up artists or hairdresser involved. Just two couples, in love.
